Steve Hart

Steve Hart is in charge of our outdoor art installations and production around the venue - or as we now call it Outstallations. He’s a bee keeping, mushroom farming, fungal fanatic raver.

For many years he and the Hartworx team have been designing sculptures together, working across the UK at festivals and events such as Noisily, Heartwood, Gottwood, Oddball & Duality, Breaking Convention and lots of private parties and raves! Setting up stages, sculptures, art installations, water fountains and scenic features.

For 30 years Steve has been setting up free raves across Oxfordshire and dedicated his time into DJing and producing an entertaining place for people to celebrate out in the wild. Currently he has set up a medicinal and gourmet mushroom farm called the Oxford Mushroom Farm. He is on the events committee for the Oxford Psychedelic Society and has designed their stages and art gallery at their annual festivals. He is also a member of the Oxford Fungal Survey, British Bee Keeping Society and P.A.R.

Steve can use almost any material to create his artwork to turn into a sculpture and will often hunt for unwanted items to repurpose them into such things like a 20 foot high water dragon or mushroom themed art. Scouring the boneyard at festivals like a scrap heap challenge to create a new life for the discarded. He also has the ability and a technical team that can take a concept idea and turn it into a large or small scale installation of a high end finish. Look out for the giant BC logo and geodesic water fountain!
