Plant spirits discovered through the scientific method

Amazonian indigenous developed their medical knowledge through observation, empirical experimentation and evidence-based knowledge. They discovered plant remedies to treat the body using the scientific method. With the same methodology they developed knowledge about the diseases that affect our vitality (spirit) and identified the plants that can help to restore it. The etymology of “spirit” is vital force, vitality. Indigenous have plants for “heal the spirit” (ayahuasca and dieta plants), because they influence our vitality in a positive way when they restore our health. Each plant has a spirit with certain characteristics, because they exert a specific effect on our vitality.
