What we know now: Five Years of Medical Cannabis in the UK
More than five years since medical cannabis was legalised I the UK, the industry continues to grow, with approximately 50,000 UK prescriptions for Medical Cannabis being issued. Yet less than 10 of these prescriptions have been within the NHS. With patients forced to access medical cannabis in the private sector, the landscape has been carved predominantly by industry and pharma. What does this mean for patients and clinicians? what have we learned? How do we increase equitable access for all patients? and how does this apply to other medicines following a similar path?
