Celia is a professor of psychopharmacology at University of Exeter and has led a number of clinical trials in the UK psychedelic space, including now a Phase 3 trial with ketamine assisted therapy. With a PhD in Psychology and over 25 years researching psychedelics and other drugs, she is passionate about democratising access and gathering communities to make the right spaces for psychedelic flourishing.
She is curating the session 'For the many: Scaling psychedelics' and speaking about ketamine as a "Trojan Horse Tranquilliser" and why she believes that, despite its problems, ketamine assisted therapy may be one route to setting up an infrastructure for psychedelic assisted therapy in public healthcare, which in turn may lead to longer-term systems level change.
